Kits, Bins & Heating!

Kits:

Feeder Roach Starter Kits -

Want to get a little colony of Dubias or Red Runners going, but don't have the tools, time or space to devote to installing vents in bins, mixing substrate or figuring out everything you need?
I've got you covered!
This kit has everything you need, including your choice of a starter colony of Dubia or Red Runner roaches.
Red Runner kits will also come with a 4oz pouch of bee pollen, which is great for promoting regular reproduction.
Bin is a 20qt gasket bin with fine stainless steel mesh vents, to keep roaches in and pests out. Neither species can climb clean plastic, so no barrier oil is needed.

Contents:
20qt gasket bin, gallon of Roach Substrate, quart of oak bark, quart of hardwood leaves, starter colony of Dubia or Red Runner roaches, bee pollen with Red Runners. Minimum $90 value.
$70 + shipping.

Dairy cows are included for free with this kit, but you can substitute other pods on request for an appropriate increase in cost. I'm happy to do kits without pods on request. You can also add moss, lotus pods, magnolia leaves, etc. The base kit is designed to be suitable for beginner isopods, and may need additional items to work perfectly for species with more advanced care.

I can also do custom sizes for other bins, and kits without bin included. Bulk pricing is available if you want multiple kits.

Priority Shipping will be calculated based on time of year and destination. Cold or heat packs if needed are $5.

4.7qt Microroach Kit

$35 + shipping

Finding good quality gasket bins the right size for microroach colonies can be a challenge. So now that I found one I like, I'm making a kit available, because microroaches are really cool and more people should keep them.

This kit was developed with the invaluable advice of TJ Ombrelle, aka InvertebrateDude. Click the link to go buy microroaches from him, and look at his excellent caresheets.

(This kit doesn't come with any roaches)

4.7 qt microroach bin with stainless steel mesh vents installed - $12
Quart of Roach substrate - $10
Quart of Oak Bark - $10
Quart of Hardwood Leaves - $5
2oz of Farmer's Market invert food - $4
Total Value: $42
Kit price: $35

Bins:

20qt Gasket Bins with Stainless Steel Mesh Vents -

The same bin I use for most of my own medium sized roach colonies, and my feeder roach kit above, with stainless steel mesh vents.

These are a great quality bin with nice locking latches and good quality foam gaskets, secure enough for even the tiniest nymphs.
Due to my vents being heat embedded, not glued, and stainless steel, the vents are just as durable and secure as the lid.

I recommend using a barrier like Vaseline, Fluon or silicone oil around the first inch or two of the top for species that climb well.

Let me know when ordering if you need extra large or small vents, or vents on just one side.

$15 + shipping

12qt Gasket Bins with Stainless Steel Mesh Vents -

Yes, these are the really nice bins from my freshly reworked Isopod Kit.
Standard vents shown. Standard is two vents. If you want more or larger vents for high ventilation species, or only one vent for higher humidity, just let me know when ordering.
(Widemouth Pint Mason Jar for scale only. Not included with bins.)

$15 per bin

4.7 qt Gasket Bins with Stainless Steel Mesh Vents -

The same bins from my microroach kit! High quality latching gasket bins with nice silicone gaskets. These are very tight fitting and fully secure.

These would be great for colonies of grain pest or dermestid beetles or anything else small that needs a good secure bin.

Comes with two stainless steel mesh vents installed, but I can do however many you need.

$12 each + shipping

Heating:

7w heat mats -

These are a really nice quality mat, low power but hot enough to keep most roaches breeding happily. Adjustable, but cannot melt the plastic on bins when turned all the way up.
Perfectly sized to fit in the long side of 20qt bins. A great add on to my Feeder Roach Kit.

This is the mat I trust for side heating on my own bins.

$15 each, or two for $25
